Radio Frequency Investigation has been nominated to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as an associate member by Ericsson Mobile Communications AB.

Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) has been nominated to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as an associate member by Ericsson Mobile Communications AB.

Membership can only be achieved if a SIG Promoter Company sponsors the application.

RFI is stepping up its Bluetooth activities and is expected to be among the first companies in the UK to have accredited Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB) staff.

RFI is already capable of providing EMC and Radio Approval testing and plans to provide BQTF (Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility) services through further investment in capital equipment.

Announcing its activities at the recent PCIA Show in Chicago, Steve Flooks, Bluetooth development manager commented, "RFI is committed to meeting the demands of its customers, to this end we are continuing to invest in the test platforms to meet those needs.

The Bluetooth industry is set to explode and RFI welcomes the opportunity to help in the enabling of the technology through its BQB and BQTF services.

As a technical leader in the radio communications field RFI plans to support the development of Bluetooth technology through its Associate Membership of the SIG".
