RFI becomes a TCB for the FCC
Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has been appointed as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA.
Richard Jacklin, head of RFI's mobile communications group will step into Brian's shoes as director of operations and will oversee the direction of EMC, radio, microwave and mobile communications groups.
The appointments were effective from the 1st January 2001.
RFI's future plans include the launch of a Solutions Group which will deliver a range of new services to help the continued growth of the wireless and technology industries.
These activities will complement RFI's existing regulatory services covering radio, microwave, EMC, telecommunications testing and compliance activities.
High on the development list for the Solutions Group are consultancy services to support 3G rollout, services for Bluetooth product integration and applications to support the growing SmartCard industry.
