Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has appointed Mike Schmitt regional manager for North America Mike joins RFI from Elliott Laboratories where he was NEBS and product safety program manager

He has broad experience in program and executive management within technical organisations.

On his appointment Mike commented, "I am delighted to join RFI and there are many exciting opportunities ahead.

The company has established a quality based organisation focused on global growth and diversification of its services.

The wireless communications arena presents one of the most significant growth areas in consumer and industrial technology.

RFI opened its US office in May last year.

From its base in Sunnyvale, California, RFI delivers radio type approval, EMC test and global compliance management services.

Since opening RFI has secured contracts with AirNet, Xircom and C-MAC.
