Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has been appointed as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA.
Visa has recognised laboratories to perform chip card and device testing to facilitate the testing of chip-based products.

This builds on RFI's existing recognition by EMVCo to carry out type approval testing of card reader devices.
RFI is the first full service test house (supporting levels 1 and 2 of the EMV standards) in the UK, providing valuable local support to the UK's EMV rollout program.
RFI will be able to provide an end-to-end service harmonising both hardware and software requirements of EMV devices.
RFI uses the full EMVCo test cases and methodologies agreed by all the card schemes and can therefore support the full testing process defined by EMVCo.
