RFI completes Bluetooth tester portfolio
RFI has taken delivery of a BITE RF conformance tester from CETECOM, completing its portfolio of Bluetooth test systems and establishing RFI with a full Bluetooth qualification test capability.

Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has been appointed as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA.
Smartcard consultancy and testing services
RFI is the first organisation in the UK to offer independent, commercial Smartcard development testing, consultancy and type approval services to manufacturers of Smartcard readers and terminals.
As part of the partnership established in 2001, RFI will validate the test platform for submission to the Bluetooth Qualification Review Board (BQRB).
Steve Flooks, RFI's Bluetooth Development Manager commented: "After an undeniably slow start industry-wide, we are starting to see an exponential increase in the level of Bluetooth enquiries.
We have already completed a Bluetooth RF conformance test project using standard test equipment on behalf of chipset manufacturer CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio).
With the installation of the BITE RF conformance tester, RFI's customers will have access to the latest available test platforms.
Our policy has always been to provide a flexible, cost effective and technically advanced solution.
We see the BITE RF tester providing RFI with a commercial edge and this benefit can be passed down to our customers to reduce the costs of qualification".
