RFI becomes a TCB for the FCC
Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has been appointed as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA.
RFI assisted Racal Instruments with the design specification to ensure that the system meets the stringent requirements of accreditation and will consequently become the 3G RF test platform of choice.
Richard Jacklin, RFI's Operations Director, said: "RFI will fully validate the system to enable us to offer an extremely important conformance service to the 3G cellular community".
The system on display at the 3GSM World Congress incorporates a demonstration graphical user interface and sample test script and can be found at RFI's stand, number E26, Hall 2 at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes from 19th to 22nd February 2002.
