Radio Frequency Investigation has developed two training courses for specific absorption rate testing (SAR) and for Bluetooth.

Radio Frequency Investigation has developed two training courses for specific absorption rate (SAR) and for Bluetooth.

Both consist of a 'one-day introduction' module ideal for those requiring basic training in the form of an overview, the second modules are run over several days, are technically detailed and will provide advanced training for design engineers.

Both advanced courses offer a high degree of hands-on laboratory based work and are led by SAR and Bluetooth experts.

The one-day Bluetooth basic training course can be run either at the customer's site or at RFI's site near Newbury, Berkshire.

Divided into six sections the course will cover: an introduction to Bluetooth technology; Bluetooth approval overview; the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG); qualification framework; the product listing process; and listing classes and product changes.

The Bluetooth advanced training course is run over four days and will provide a detailed understanding of the Bluetooth test specifications.

The course will help delegates to understand how products are tested and how they can be designed to speed up the testing process.

Delegates will learn how to compile engineering evidence for compliance folders and the right tools to use.

On completion delegates will be able to go through the complete qualification process and to generate compliance folders for submission to a Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB).

The SAR basic training course is run over one day, and covers: an overview of SAR; the SAR concept; standards; SAR test system; tissue simulating liquids; non-mobile testing; and laboratory administration.

The SAR advanced training course consists of four days providing a more in-depth study of the above followed by 4 days of practical exercises using RFI's Schmid and Partner's Dasy test platform.
