Visa International has accredited Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) to offer risk testing to chip card manufacturers developing Visa smart cards UK-based RFI is only the second laboratory worldwide to achieve this and can now add Visa smart debit/credit and Visa GlobalPlatform card risk testing to its portfolio of smart card services

Visa International requires risk testing be performed after functional testing as part of its testing and approval process for smart cards.

Brian Watson RFI's Business Development Director responsible for introducing RFI's smart card services commented: "We are delighted to have recognition by Visa International and recognise this as an important milestone in RFI's commitment to the smart card industry.

We have now achieved our objective by offering the client a one-stop shop, whereby RFI can provide a seamless testing service covering functional and risk testing.

This benefits our clients by simplifying the testing process and will reduce the delays in getting chip card products onto the market".

In addition to risk testing RFI is also recognised by Visa for EMV level 1, Visa smart debit/credit, Visa Open Platform and Visa smart debit/credit - Applet functional testing.
