A RFI Global Services product story

RFI has upgraded its SAR test platform to meet developing standards.

RFI has upgraded its SAR (specific absorption rate) test platform to meet developing standards.

The DASY4 Professional SAR Test System from Swiss supplier Schmid and Partner installed this month will enable RFI to offer customers an enhanced and more efficient service.

New features of the system allow angular measurements to be made for the first time, providing absorption data around the face area and side of head.

Increasing the number of measurements will enhance accuracy.

A further benefit will be faster turnaround through automatic report generation, manipulation of graphs and data could be cumbersome in the earlier software.

RFI is one of the leading providers of SAR test services and was the first laboratory in Europe to achieve ISO17025 for testing to EN50360, EN50361 and C95.3.

RFI is the only test house in the UK offering UKAS accredited SAR testing services.

Current safety regulations for wireless devices such as FCC and CENELEC rely on measurements of specific absorption rates (SAR) to verify compliance with applicable near-field exposure limits.
