RFI Global Services has ordered a Cetecom MINT RF conformance test platform to add extra capacity following a 30% rise in demand for these services compared with the same period last year Customers now have a choice of 18 test platforms that include Anritsu, Rohde and Schwarz and Anite Systems for GSM/GPRS/Edge/AMR and W-CDMA

The new system from Cetecom will be available from 8th July 2005 on completion of a new shielded test laboratory.

Richard Jacklin, RFI's Director of Cellular business, stated: "2005 is proving to be an exceptional year for RFI's cellular business".

"We have seen record levels of testing month-on-month which relates in part to our service delivery, but also the fierce competition in the handset market which has increased the number of handset models developed in a year".

"Hiring the Cetecom system has given us the extra capacity we need at short notice and is in line with RFI's philosophy of giving customers the widest possible range of test platforms to choose from".
