RFI has appointed Stephen Emery as its new Cellular Service Delivery Manager and Stuart Thomas moves into his new role as Technology Development Manager.
Thomas has been with RFI since 1999 and has worked in a range of roles within the organisation, the most recent of which has been Cellular Operations Manager delivering and developing RFI's high quality, state-of-the-art testing and approval services.
The creation of the two new roles is part of RFI's business strategy and Thomas will work exclusively on updating existing and creating new services to complement RFI's existing cellular services.
RFI has a target of GBP 1 million revenue from these new activities by 2008, with almost half of this expected to come from network operators.
An example of this is RFI's recent appointment by Nokia and ST Microelectronics as the first SMIA approved laboratory to independently test compliance of camera modules.
Emery, in his role as Service Delivery Manager is responsible for continuing the delivery of RFI's existing services.
He heads up a team of 23 technical staff delivering test services across 19 test platforms.
Emery spent the past 19 years working for Vodafone in a range of roles, most recently as Programme Manager.
He brings a wealth of project management expertise to RFI.
