RFI Global Services has received accreditations for 2G, 3G and MMS (application testing) for all laboratories in UK, Taiwan and Korea.

RFI Global Services has received accreditations for 2G, 3G and MMS (application testing) for all laboratories in UK, Taiwan and Korea as part of its commitment to provide full cellular mobile certification services close to cellular industry manufacturing bases around the globe.

The latest accreditations mean that RFI can guarantee the highest level of validated test cases for PTCRB approval (for handsets and cellular devices to be used in North America) at its test facilities in the UK, Korea and Taiwan.

The advantages of each facility having complete accreditation include the ability to act in a "primary" capacity taking the lead in managing customer testing and making direct application to the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association) database.

The PTCRB ensures quality in US mobile networks and is held as a benchmark accreditation throughout the world, embracing latest technologies.

It was the first body to bring applications testing into a conformance regime.

Richard Jacklin, Director and Head of RFI's Cellular Business commenting on the accreditations said: "We are always mindful of the 'customer experience' and their priorities seeking ways to keep testing time and cost to an absolute minimum".

"Partially capable laboratories mean that the customer will have to visit other labs in order to complete the whole project".

"RFI will be virtually a complete one-stop-shop for each location, thus reducing outsourcing to other labs and reducing travel for the customer".
