Remote control transmitters need no licence
RF Solutions has launched a series of rugged, licence-exempt hand-held radio transmitter encoders for remote control applications designed to operate in harsh and outdoor environments
The system allows Sports Tutor to offer a remote controlled version of its tennis training product - Tennis Tutor.
The portable Tennis Tutor unit is able to hold up to 150 tennis balls that, by adjusting controls on the unit, can be delivered at varying speeds, trajectories and feed rates.
With the addition of the RF Solutions remote control unit, the user can start and stop ball delivery and control the side-to-side position of ball throws from a distance of up to 100m.
The 118 series receiver/decoder unit operates at the licence-free frequencies of either 315 or 433MHz.
The system requires either a 12 or 24V supply that is provided by Tennis Tutor's onboard rechargeable battery unit.
Ease of installation is achieved through the use of screw terminals.
The key fob transmitter is powered by a 12V GP23A battery and provides LED indication of both signal transmission and low battery condition.
Housed in a robust IP65 rated enclosure measuring just 110 x 85 x 35mm, the receiver/decoder unit is suitable for use in all weathers.
The operating temperature range of both the keyfob transmitter and the receiver/decoder unit is 0 to +55C.
The system is CE compliant for European operation, and FCC compliant for US operation.
