Baseband transceiver simplifies RF comms
The RF600T Smart Com radio transceiver IC helps engineers to develop wireless communications products both quickly and easily.
Typical applications for the RF600T include wireless RS232, cable replacement, and alarms and communications systems.
Capable of stand- alone operation and with a direct microcontroller interface, the IC requires a 3.0 to 5.5V supply (2.0 to 5.5V optional).
The RF600T features a 190byte buffer that is used to either hold host data prior to transmission, or buffer data received over the radio link before it is transmitted to the host.
Control lines are used to handle the flow of data to and from the host.
The RF600T is versatile being compatible with most RF modules.
It is also able to achieve maximum range from devices with which it is used.
Data packet generation is automatically performed along with Manchester encoding and CRC-based error checking.
Further hardware features include two digital telemetry lines and an asynchronous serial host interface.
