The licence exempt, CE compliant, 433MHz keyfobs are available in one-, two- or three-button variants to suit a wide range of applications.

The keyfobs use the highly secure Keeloq code hopping protocol and have a range of up to 150m.

FM operation makes the units less susceptible to interference and therefore well suited to use in difficult environments where there is a high risk of spurious radio signals.

120 series keyfobs transmit for as long as any pushbutton is depressed: this can result in either a momentary or latching action depending on the configuration of the RX decoder - an LED provides indication of transmission.

The keyfob automatically transmits a battery low condition to the receiver.

Another useful feature is a power-saving auto-shutoff feature that prevents the battery being drained through accidental operation.

Housed in a tough and compact ABS enclosure measuring just 36 x 66 x 10mm, all three variants of the 120 series keyfob are powered by 12V GP23A type batteries (supplied).

A membrane overlay sticker is used to indicate switch positions; this can be customised to include customer logos or other detail.

RF Solutions is also able to supply an evaluation kit that provides a development platform capable of accepting a variety of radio modules and antenna.

The kit enables engineers to develop their own radio telemetry application that can be used with the 120 series keyfob.
