The RF600T Smart Com radio transceiver IC helps engineers to develop wireless communications products both quickly and easily.

The RF600T Smart Com radio transceiver IC from RF Solutions helps engineers to develop wireless communications products both quickly and easily Targeted at applications such as wireless RS232, cable replacement, alarm systems and local area networking, the transceiver ICs provide a simple interface between standard RF modules - either transceivers, transmitters or receivers - and TTL level asynchronous serial data sources

Control lines are used to handle data flow and the device incorporates a 190byte data buffer.

Available in either leaded (18-pin PDIP) or surface mount (18-pin SO) packages, the RF600T performs all the necessary data manipulation and encryption required by the radio module to achieve a reliable radio link and also provides a simple data interface to the user's controller.

Operating in either addressed or broadcast mode the RF600T has been designed to achieve the maximum possible range from RF modules using automatic data packet generation with Manchester encoding and CRC-based error checking.

When operated in addressed mode, automatic retries ensure that the host is informed of successful or failed data packet delivery.

The standard RF600T operates from a supply voltage of 3.0 to 5.5V (2.0 to 5.5V optional).
