Options turn analyser to Bluetooth and TV

With R and S FSL-K8, the spectrum analyser performs standard-compliant Bluetooth transmitter measurements for the V2.0 + EDR (Enhanced datarate) standard.

R and S FSL-K20 allows TV cable network operators and component manufacturers to perform RF measurements on analogue and digital TV signals.

An I/Q demodulation bandwidth of 20MHz, a displayed average noise level of -152dBm (1Hz) and overall measurement uncertainty of 0.5dB make the R and S FSL unique in its price class.

The Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR standard ensures a data transmission rate that is up to three times higher than the Bluetooth V1.1 standard.

For transmitter measurements on Bluetooth chipsets and modules, developers therefore need a versatile spectrum analyser that can perform all the prescribed measurements of the relevant EDR parameters and also supports the previous Bluetooth versions.

With the R and S FSL-K8 option, the R and S FSL offers standard-compliant transmitter measurements in accordance with the Bluetooth V1.1 and V2.0 + EDR standards at the press of a button.

Besides spectral measurements such as output power, ACP and spurious emissions, the spectrum analyser determines the modulation quality of GFSK signals, for example frequency drift and deviation, or modulation quality and frequency stability of EDR signals.

For RF measurements in TV cable networks, the R and S FSL can be expanded with the R and S FSL-K20 option.

This allows network operators and component manufacturers to check the power and quality of analogue and digital TV signals.

Equipped with this option, the spectrum analyser supports conventional analogue TV standards such as B/G, D/K, I, K1, L, M and N with the Pal, NTSC and Secam colour systems as well as the digital standards DVB-C and J.83/A/B/C.

R and S FSL-K20 offers a variety of CATV measurement routines, including the display of constellation diagrams of 1024QAM DVB-C signals.

The R and S FSL's compact sise and low weight of less than 7kg make it the ideal companion for service engineers who install and maintain cable networks.

The optional battery ensures operation independent of the AC supply.

To simplify handling as much as possible, users can predefine the channel assignment and create channel tables.

Predefined channel tables for a large number of countries are included.
