Offering a typical radiant flux of 285mW and a peak wavelength of 395nm, a new ultraviolet, high-flux LED illuminator is now available from stock from Rhopoint Components.

The UV device is constructed using 50 LED die mounted on a substrate measuring less than 10mm2.

It expands the existing range of high-intensity illuminators, which also includes infra-red, blue, green, white, red and amber devices.

Typical uses include: ink, coating and adhesive curing and medical applications.

Housed in a TO-66 style package, the device is designed to ensure high reliability through efficient heat transfer.

Typical power dissipation is 6W.

This illuminator has a total beam width of +/-78 degrees, which can be reduced to 30 degrees with the addition of a reflector designed to mount on top of the device.
