Rigel Medical has upgraded its multipurpose electromedical safety tester, the Rigel 277.

Rigel Medical has upgraded its multipurpose electromedical safety tester, the Rigel 277.

The new Rigel 277 Plus incorporates a number of new test features and user benefits to increase the efficiency of test routines and to reduce the overall test time.

The new unit complies fully with the routine test requirements specified by EN61010.

As a result, as well as being the tester of choice for all electromedical equipment, the Rigel 277 Plus can now be used for the safety testing of all electrical laboratory equipment.

Among the additional test functions introduced for IEC/EN61010 compliance is touch leakage, voltage measurements and a dedicated IEC61010 measuring device (Body Model).

As well as these new features, the Rigel 277 Plus continues to offer full compliance test routines according to IEC/EN60601-1, MDAdB9801 and VDE0751.

In addition, the new tester offers an increased number of customised test routines to meet customised safety test needs or variants of test standards.

Users of the Rigel 277 Plus are able to perform manual, automatic and semi-automatic test routines allowing full control of power up and power down delay times.

These features are critical when testing PC based medical systems and equipment as well as medical equipment requiring a controlled power down during a test sequence, for example with ultrasound systems or dialysis equipment.

The combination of a full graphics display, large internal memory and integral qwerty keyboard provides a complete stand alone test system to prove the electrical safety of both medical and nonmedical electrical equipment.
