Rittal's RiBox is a 482.6mm rack mount or 448mm instrument case for network applications available in five standard depths ranging from 150mm to 350mm.

Designed to provide effective use of internal space with a level of EMC shielding, Rittal's new RiBox is constructed of lightweight but rigid aluminium and consists of front and rear extruded panels with top and bottom covers.

The front panel is designed to accept self-adhesive overlay foils that hide the front mounting screws and the bottom panel is designed as a chassis plate for PCB's and other components.

Only four screws hold Rittal's RiBox together.

Optional stainless steel EMC gaskets can be added to provide shielding protection and a single VME or CompactPCI board can be mounted horizontally using a conversion kit.

Applications include bridges, routers, hubs, electronic patch panels, modems, port manager switches, remote controllers and switches.

Rittal's new RiBox can be configured to meet customers' individual requirements.
