RiCool, Rittal's new variable speed blower, provides effective cooling of densely packed VME or CompactPCI subrack systems.

RiCool, Rittal's new variable speed blower, provides effective cooling of densely packed VME or CompactPCI subrack systems.

When mounted side by side in a subrack the RiCool blowers give 220 cfm of airflow at 0in static pressure.

Air is drawn up through the CPCI boards and then exhausts out the back of the subrack via the powerful backward curved impeller - using only 1U of rack space.

At a static pressure of 0.25in of water, Rittal's RiCool blower provides over 90cfm of airflow each, and continues to provide cooling at static pressures in excess of 1.0in of water, far exceeding the capabilities of typical 482.6mm (19-inch) rack mounted axial fan trays.

Rittal's RiCool also offers an alarm output via fan speed sensor, speed control capability, long life, easy access, and hot swap capability to use with no extra ducting.
