Rittal Electronic Systems has a new range of instrument cases to hold electronic systems based on multiple printed circuit boards.

Rittal Electronic Systems has a new range of instrument cases to hold electronic systems based on multiple printed circuit boards.

The Ripac Vario-Module cases provide a rugged enclosure with extruded aluminium side panels and steel covers with optional ventilation holes.

The Vario-Module cases may be completed as desktop or tower units with the addition of corner trims, or 482.6mm (19in) rack mounted by fitting flanges to the front.

The dimensions conform to IEC 60 297-3 for the accommodation of single and double Eurocards.

Basic electromagnetic protection is provided by the all-metal construction and the use of standard components from Rittal's award winning Ripac subrack system, to contain the printed circuit boards and mount EMC designed front panels.

Advanced protection is easily provided with the addition of EMC gaskets from the Ripac range.

For portability and instrumentation applications, various handles and feet may be fitted.

Acrylic doors and keyboard lid options complete the package, which is available from stock in three widths, four depths and seven heights including popular models for crossflow ventilation in 4, 7 and 8U.
