Rittal has extended its range of 19in rack-mounted systems for industrial computing with space-saving 1 and 2U housings for ATX, Mini-ATX and Micro-ATX computer main board configurations, and a 1U keyboard drawer with 381mm (15in) TFT foldaway display.
For applications where limited plug-in options are required, the 1 and 2U high housings are supplied complete with a "riser card" for installation of one or two PCI cards.
Both housings include power supplies with power factor correction, fans for cooling and carriers for 5.25 and 3.5in drive units with options for additional drives.
To maintain optimum use of the available height, a 1U 482.6mm (19in) keyboard drawer has been introduced, adaptable on its telescopic slides to fit racks from 500 to 900mm deep.
A flat panel display folds down when the drawer is closed and switches off to conserve energy and a mouse mat and keyboard may be added.
All connections are made at the rear of the drawer.
A display is also available separately mounted in a 7U (310mm) high panel offering a dust- and splash-proof assembly.
