Rittal Electronic Systems has added a range of DC-powered high-density CompactPCI solutions to its popular AC models.

Rittal Electronic Systems has added a range of DC-powered high-density CompactPCI solutions to its popular AC models.

The systems make full use of every U of height, with a maximum slot count of 2 x 4HP making efficient use of the available rack space, with a full CPCI maximum of eight slots in the 4U housing.

Available from stock in four sizes from 1 to 4U, these systems are ideal for web hosting, e-commerce servers, firewalls, DSN servers, e-mail servers, colocation platforms or any Internet applications where more I/O is required.

The systems accommodate front and rear boards, hot-plug power supplies and are equipped with integral cooling fans, guide rails for plugin boards and monolithic backplanes for direct plugin DC power, CPU and system boards.

The power supplies, fitting alongside the horizontally mounted 6U CPCI boards are 175, 200 or 250W DC and have N+1 and power sharing.

Each PSU occupies just 3U x 8HP x 160mm, allowing space for at least one drive in most systems.
