RiPatch, the open patching frame, allows plug and play installation and fast patching of data cables allowing rapid location change for total system flexibility.
The design of RiPatch ensures the minimum bend radii for cables is never exceeded.
RiPatch also has the option of separating fibre-optic and copper cables and gives a high packaging density for large cable volumes.
The enclosures selected to house the hardware are from the Rittal flexRack range and feature 16 attachment levels for the installation of equipment.
These attachment levels are built-in as part of the design of the frame or are in the form of detachable mounting angles that can be moved throughout the depth of the enclosure.
These facilities allow the equipment to be mounted at exactly the required position and cable management trays to be installed directly to the frame members, independent of the mounting angles.
To provide cooling the enclosures are fitted with an easily accessible roof-mounted fan tray thereby using no internal space within the enclosure and allowing access when equipment is installed.
Tim Bell, Chief Technical Officer at Transaction Network Services (UK) commented: "When Transaction Network Services were evaluating their options in the United Kingdom for housing and connecting their equipment within nodal sites, Rittal were selected because of the practical design and construction of the flexRack and RiPatch range of products".
"These products enable equipment to be installed quickly and easily, whilst still being accessible and flexible but can be rearranged with the minimum of effort or disruption". Request a free brochure from Rittal ...
