Rittal will be introducing its MicroTCA Cube and shelf at the Embedded Systems Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 19th and 20th October 2005 The products on show will be conceptual models for a stand-alone system designed around the proposed PICMG specification for MicroTCA, which is soon to be ratified
MicroTCA provides a highly flexible platform to enable Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AdvancedMCs) to plug directly into a fabric backplane, avoiding the need for standard plug-in boards as an interface.
Able to accept single and double width and single and double height AdvancedMCs, the housing includes cooling fans and power, and is designed to accommodate shelf management (virtual carrier module).
Rittal will also be presenting a paper in the "AdvancedTCA: a users guide" conference track. Request free introductory details about products from Rittal ...
