Rittal is offering developers of telecommunication and industrial computer applications a compact version of its MicroTCA system, namely the PicoTCA rack-mounted system.

Rittal is offering developers of telecommunication and industrial computer applications a compact version of its MicroTCA system, namely the PicoTCA rack-mounted system Fully configured, the PicoTCA system is available ready for connection as a "ready-to-run" system in 2 U design and includes a backplane, power supply unit and fan with exchangeable filter.

Complying with the PICMG MicroTCA.0 R1.0 specification, the PicoTCA comprises a 254mm deep 482.6mm (19") chassis with 13 slots for the installation of AMC modules in single, compact and full-size form factors and a MicroTCA carrier hub.

Equipped with an integrated 480W AC power supply the chassis can be prefabricated with plug-in AMCs.

The system's packaging density (W/mm cubed) supports 19 Gigabit Ethernet transmission in limited installation space.

Rittal has contributed significantly to the development of the ATCA standard from the very start.

New and existing applications can be migrated to the MicroTCA platform quickly and cost-effectively.
