Racal Instruments Group has shipped the first complement of 1261B VXI chassis to the Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL), based in Hyderabad, as part of a major contract in India.
This order was won against stiff competition.
The order for 98 of the chassis is being delivered in two stages; the first batch of 40 was shipped in March with the second batch due delivery in December.
These chassis are being supplied for use in communications systems being developed and built by ECIL for the Indian Army and Navy.
The Racal Instruments 1261B VXI chassis is the latest in a long evolutionary line of VXI chassis which reaches back to the dawn of VXI.
This chassis is one of the best high performance chassis available in the market today.
It has the highest usable power and best cooling of all the VXI chassis currently available.
Having been designed to achieve a very high mean time between failures (MTBF) and a very low mean time to repair (MTTR), the 1261B is ideal for operation in demanding environments where up time and availability is paramount.
The enhanced health monitoring system option (EMS) available for the 1261B, which has been selected by ECIL, enables all aspects relating to the health of the VXI system to be continuously monitored and reported either locally or remotely, making it ideal for operation on all scenarios, including remote, unmanned locations.
