Cook to oversee investment programme

Investment programme anticipates growth
Remploy Electronics has embarked on an investment programme that aims to turn its six dedicated electronics manufacturing facilities into "centres of excellence".
Among his first responsibilities is the initiation of a major investment programme to enhance PCB manufacturing capabilities.
Cook joined Remploy from Pentair Electronic Packaging where he was Group Sales and Marketing Director with responsibility for brands including Schroff and Optima.
Prior to this he was general manager of IMO Precision Controls.
Earlier he was general manager of Rohm, which he joined at its inception in the UK, building the company to an annual turnover in excess of GBP 50 million within seven years.
Commenting on his new role, Cook said: "Remploy Electronics has a great opportunity to fill the significant gap between small, local specialists and the major, contract equipment manufacturers.
My goal is to ensure UK SMEs have access to the best contract manufacturing services whilst retaining the flexibility and contact achievable by dealing with an onshore supplier".
