Rockwell Automation announces the Allen-Bradley 198E-AY, an IP 66 rated enclosure for MCS (Modular Control System) starters rated up to 18.5 kW.
It can be supplied with either a red/yellow or black/grey rotary operating handle, which can be locked in the 'OFF' position with up to three padlocks.
There is also the option of a neutral terminal and indicating lamp.
The rotary handle allows the circuit breaker to be quickly reset from the trip position and provides quick and secure recognition of the operating status with clear indication of Off, On and Trip positions.
The MCS 140M range of circuit breakers provides outstanding performance and has many innovative features.
High and effective current limiting and a short drop out time give an exceptional short circuit breaking capacity.
The MCS 140M-C series of circuit breakers have motor protection characteristics and are rated for motor duty.
They provide an adjustable thermal release, ambient temperature compensation, phase loss protection and can be fitted with front and side mounted auxiliary contacts and a voltage trip release.
Thirteen different ratings cover the range from 0.1 to 25 Amps.
The 198E-AYT enclosure is robust and durable.
Manufactured to ISO 14001, it is ecologically harmless and fully recyclable.
Installation is quick and easy with metric knockouts top and bottom, and a drilling template is provided in the base.
The enclosures are rated to IP 65 providing a high degree of resistance to the ingress of dust, water sprays and aggressive substances.
