Two new full colour dot matrix LED displays provide ideal building blocks for large-scale high-brightness indoor display screens.

Two new full colour dot matrix LED displays offer improved contrast ratios and viewing angles over previous modules and provide the ideal building blocks for large scale, high brightness indoor display screens.

The LPM-1153BMU702 24 x 48 dot and LPM-5123BMU752 16 x 32 dot full colour displays integrate LEDs, display drive and control circuitry into lightweight modules with thicknesses of just 14mm.

Modules can be combined vertically and horizontally for the rapid creation of large-scale display applications such as passenger information systems and video walls for advertising and entertainment.

Each of the new displays offers a much better contrast ratio and a complete viewing angle of 140 degrees.

Dot pitch is 4mm for the LPM-1153BMU702 and 6mm for the LPM-5123BMU752.

Both displays have typical dimensions of 192 x 96mm.

The LPM-1153BMU702 and LPM-5123BMU752 have maximum current consumptions of 6 and 4A, respectively, and operate with nominal LED and control circuit supply voltages of 5.0V.

In the case of the LPM-1153BMU702, typical brightness levels are 450cd/m2 for the red (624nm) LEDs, 1000cd/m2 for the green (525nm) LEDs, and 140cd/m2 for the blue (470nm) LEDs.

For the LPM-5123BMU752, respective red, green and blue LED brightness levels are 250, 450 and 80cd/m2.

Both of the new displays offer 1024 grey scales and are available in versions with or without an internal and PLL grey scale clock.

Built-in brightness adjustment ensures accurate matching of luminous intensity when combining multiple units into large-scale display applications.
