PWM regulator steps up or down
A new compact and low power PWM switching control IC can be used as a step-up or step-down regulator for applications requiring output voltages up to 36V and switching frequencies to 1MHz.
A new compact and low power pulsewidth modulation (PWM) switching control IC can be used as a step-up or step-down regulator for applications requiring output voltages up to 36V and switching frequencies to 1MHz.
Rohm's BD9300FV single-channel switching regulator control IC is a highly integrated general-purpose device that will meet a variety of application requirements where accurate PWM control is needed and where space and power consumption need to be minimised.
The IC will handle input voltages from 3.6 to 36V and has a switching frequency range of 20kHz to 1MHz.
Maximum output current is rated at 150mA.
The BD9300FV is supplied in a compact 14-pin SSOPB package and features high levels of built-in functionality including under voltage lockout and short circuit protection.
A maximum power dissipation of 400mW and a zero standby current rating make the device ideal for applications where power conservation is a key design criteria.
Designed for use at temperatures between -40 and +85C, the BD9300FV will operate with junction temperatures up to +125C.
