A stereo DAC and a second-order lowpass filter (LPF) are also incorporated into the device.
Providing both stereo and mono operating modes, the BU8709KN will play up to four songs simultaneously and supports real-time modification of tempo, key and volume.
In addition to the standard sounds, the IC also allows users to create customised sounds.
The new IC can be controlled via a serial or parallel interface, with the ADPCM and integrated FIFO functions minimising the load on the host CPU.
Standard format or IIS format digital outputs are supported.
A standby mode and a function that reduces power based on the number of tones ensures low-power operation and extended phone battery life.
