Rapid access to PowerOne batteries
Colchester based Rapid Electronics has been chosen by Varta Microbattery to spearhead the promotion of its new PowerOne consumer battery range.
Driven at 500mA the cool white variant (Rapid 55-2016) can emit 64 lumens of light (for comparison, a Luxeon I emits around 30 lumens).
They have a wide viewing angle, with a half angle of 120 degrees.
Optical efficiency is 40 lumens per watt (compared with a domestic light bulb at 12 lm/W, halogen lamps at 18 lm/W and fluorescent tubes at around 50 lm/W).
Under optimal conditions these devices will give 50,000 hours service.
The advanced package measures only 6 x 7 x 1.8mm.
As well as being suitable for all types of surface mount assembly, its leads can also be soldered by hand.
Osram grades the Golden Dragons by colour and brightness.
Consistency - within and between batches - is guaranteed by Osram's tight binning practices.
Rapid stocks Golden Dragons in warm white, two levels of brightness of cool white, red, green and blue.
By using red, green and blue in combination, many other colours can be achieved.
