Rapid supports Young Engineers

A Rapid Electronics product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team May 5, 2008

Rapid is supplying the prize for the winners of a "top secret" practical engineering challenge set on the day.

Rapid Electronics has joined Lloyd's Register Educational Trust for a second year as a sponsor of Young Engineers' 2008 programme of Club Showcase events in England and Wales during June and July.

These events are open to all primary or secondary schools wishing to celebrate their extra-curricula engineering club activities and to display projects that may have also been entered in national challenges and competitions.

Participation provides the opportunity for schools to win prises and to be considered for a place at the 2008 National Science and Engineering Fair, which will take place in London from 4th to 6th March 2009, where they could win the title of Young Engineers Club of the Year.

At the regional showcase events Rapid is supplying the prize for the winners of a "top secret" practical engineering challenge set on the day.

All participating clubs also receive a GBP 50 voucher from Rapid for them to spend on resources for future projects.

The company also offers all club network members a 10% discount on its extensive range of educational and electronic supplies.

Additionally, the company supports Young Engineers' printing and running costs for the Fulcrum newsletter throughout the year.
