Sarantel has strengthened its board by appointing David Dey as Chairman and Jayne Chace as a Non-Executive Director.

Sarantel has strengthened its board by appointing David Dey as Chairman and Jayne Chace as a Non-Executive Director.

Dey brings vast experience of the telecommunications industry to Sarantel, having held senior management roles at Plessey, British Telecom and Energis, whereas Chace, a strategic global marketing executive, will help to further boost the company's global marketing drive.

Sarantel's patented miniature antennas are fabricated on ceramic cores and offer many benefits when used in portable and mobile wireless devices such as GPS receivers, Wi-Fi and mobile handsets.

The company's antennas appear on a variety of products in the consumer electronics, automotive, and military markets which are manufactured by OEMs in Europe, North America, and Asia David Dey was responsible for setting up telecommunications carrier Energis in the mid 1990s and has also served on the main board of British Telecom.

Prior to that, as Managing Director of Plessey Communications, he was responsible for delivering the System X digital exchange.

Jayne Chace began her career as a university history professor in America, but for the past 15 years has lived in Europe and held many senior executive vice president management positions in IT and telecomms industries companies, including Siemens, Oracle, Digital Equipment Corporation and Nortel.

Most recently she was Global Vice President Strategy and Marketing, Public Sector, at Unisys.
