The ACB-104.Ultra is a PC/104-Plus RS-232/422/485/530 synchronous serial module boasting datarates up to 10Mbit/s This speed makes the ACB-104.Ultra an ideal solution for satellite, radar, banking and other specialised synchronous applications

Based on the Zilog Z16C32 IUSC, the ACB-104.Ultra includes an onboard DMA controller to eliminate bus bandwidth constraints and increase throughput.

The ACB-104.Ultra is also equipped with 256Kbyte of onboard RAM and a 32byte FIFO buffer to maximise performance without increasing processor overhead.

For maximum compatibility with a variety of host processors, the ACB-104.Ultra can operate with either 3.3 or 5V signal levels.

Software support, critical for successful synchronous communication implementation, is provided through Sealevel's SeaMAC driver.

SeaMAC supports a variety of protocols under Windows 2000/XP including HDLC/SDLC, bisync, monosync, and raw (bit-shifter) modes.

Clocking is selectable using the internal baud rate generator or from an external source.

The ACB-104.Ultra, part number 3514, is priced at $499 in low volume quantities and is available from stock.

Like all Sealevel I/O products, the board includes a lifetime warranty.
