Serial device drivers provide easy Ethernet
Sealevel Systems reckons its Sealink family of serial device drivers is the easiest way to connect serial devices directly to an Ethernet network.
Baseboard puts embedded modules into PCI systems
Sealevel Systems has been selected to provide baseboard design services for system OEMs using Ampro's EnCore family of embedded processor modules.
The software automatically generates monitoring and control scripts that deliver status reports and alerts.
ScriptEasy includes an embedded web server that enables configuration and status monitoring from any Internet connection.
Alarms can be sent via E-mail, SNMP and voice/DTMF interface.
"The ability to remotely monitor and control equipment, facilities, and processes from anywhere with an Internet connection is a game-changer for many businesses", says Tom O'Hanlan, President and CEO of Sealevel Systems.
"Customers are realising significant increases in up-time performance and corresponding decreases in field service costs".
"Our goal is to lead the industry by providing a system that sets a new standard for performance, capability and usability across a diverse range of markets".
The RMS-1000, housed in a rugged, space-saving 1U, 19in rack-mount enclosure, provides dual Ethernet connectivity, 64 optically isolated inputs, 64 digital outputs, and 24 differential analogue inputs.
Four RS232/422/485 ports and one RS232 port are available to interface to a wide range of serial devices.
A complete voice modem interface with DTMF capabilities is also included.
A choice of convenient I/O termination panels with terminal blocks makes connection to real world signals easy.
For extremely dense I/O monitoring requirements the I/O count can be doubled by adding an RMS-1000-EXP expansion module controlled from the host USB port.
"Monitoring and control units are often located in remote locations, so reliability is a necessity", says O'Hanlan.
"To deliver that reliability the RMS-1000 provides solid-state operation using a fanless 1GHz Intel Celeron M processor and is rated for 0-50C environments".
Pricing for the RMS-1000 starts at $2995 and a complete turnkey solution, including the ScriptEasy software application preinstalled, is available from US $4495.
The convenient I/O termination panels are available starting at US $199.
