Ericsson comes to Sasken for multimedia
codec
Ericsson Mobile Platforms has licensed a H.263 encoder from Sasken Communication Technologies for use in wireless device platforms.

The integration of the H.263 encoder into the wireless device platform will enable video signal to be taken from a camera, or from file, as input and compresses it into a digital stream to be transmitted over a wireless network.
The H.263 encoder will enable a number of applications including multimedia messaging (MMS) and 3G video streaming.
