Reference flow to speed complex designs

Sasken has used the Synopsys Galaxy design platform to develop a reference flow to enhance the implementation and signoff process for its complex designs.

"With Synopsys' Galaxy Design Platform, Sasken has further enhanced its ability to handle complex designs from various foundries using different process technologies to tape out", said Vilas Bhade, Director, Sasken Communication Technology.

"The Synopsys Galaxy solution enables Sasken to deliver to its customers a time-to-market advantage".

Sasken's custom reference flow now includes the following Galaxy technology from Synopsys: Design Compiler synthesis tool, JupiterXT design planning tool, Physical Compiler physical synthesis tool and Astro place and route product for physical implementation, PrimeTime timing analysis tool, DFT Compiler design for test tool, TetraMAX test product, Star-RCXT tool for full-chip parasitic extraction signoff and Hercules physical verification product.

In addition, Sasken has added Synopsys' NanoSim simulation tool to its mixed-signal design and verification services, and has adopted Synopsys' tools such as HSpice circuit simulator, CosmosSE simulation and analysis, and CosmosLE intelligent layout automation, for custom IC design products.
