Sasken Communication Technologies has announced that Sasken's application framework ARIA has been successfully integrated on to TI's "LoCosto" single-chip value platform.
Sasken identified the need for a truly flexible and modular framework solution, so as to enable it to be a one-stop-shop for mobile software solutions.
IXI-Connect OS Technology was a natural choice for Sasken, as its architecture and construct was aligned with Sasken's own product philosophy of providing its phone customers with modular, scalable and pre-integrated complete solutions that help them to develop devices faster.
Further to this agreement Sasken will combine the IXI-Connect OS with existing Sasken IP to offer its customers a competitive solution in terms of footprint, price and performance.

Sasken is to extend its capability for providing model development services for handset manufacturers.
This will enable solutions across a wider range of phone categories and customer segments.
In addition, Sasken has established with support from IXI Mobile an Israel-based design centre, extended with a team in Kiev, Ukraine.
The key value of the Sasken application framework to phone manufacturers will be its completeness and extensive tool suite, as well as the architectural flexibility that supports different silicon architectures, protocol stacks and phone configurations.
From an operator perspective the solution will enable them to drive reusability and to deliver a customised look and feel on the go.
Sasken now has a large team of engineers committed to the application framework product line spread across its engineering centres in India, Israel and Kiev.
