Networks fit for high reliability
applications
Established-reliability surface-mount chip resistor networks are now available from State of the Art qualified to MIL-PRF-914.
Established-reliability surface-mount chip resistor networks are now available from State of the Art (SOTA) qualified to MIL-PRF-914 (revision G, amendment 3) These SOTA resistor networks are designed for use in mission-critical applications such as manned space flight, life support systems, human-implantable medical devices, and prolonged periods in satellite communications The networks are available in two JEDEC QPL style sizes

More options and performance from attenuators
State of the Art (SOTA) has made a number of enhancements and additions to its line of thin-film chip attenuators.
High-reliability for chip resistors
State of the Art (SOTA) is expanding its line of established high-reliability chip resistors qualified to MIL-PRF 55342 (revision G, amendment 3).
RNS030 (/03) measures 0.30 x 0.30 x 0.05in and has a power rating of 800mW.
RNS040 (/04) measures 0.350 x 0.350 x 0.05in and has a power rating of 1W.
SOTA also offers a SLAMDIP QPL style network resistor, RNS050 (/05), which measures 0.410 x 0.150 x 0.03in and has a power rating of 800mW.
All three styles have a temperature characteristic of 300ppm (Product Level M) or 100ppm (Product Level K), and a maximum voltage rating of 50V.
The SOTA MIL-914 networks are available with standard resistance values from 10ohm to 2.2Mohm and standard tolerances of 10, 5, 2 and 1%.
Network termination consists of a high-adhesion conductive base layer covered by a nickel barrier to prevent solder joint degradation.
The outer finish is fused 60/40 tin/lead solder.
The MIL-PRF-914 resistors are available in two product level categories, determined by the extent of product testing.
Level M is an "established reliability" product that requires ongoing life tests with failure rates established at just 1% per 1kh.
In addition, all Level M parts are subjected to 100h power conditioning.
These networks are tested for use in extreme environmental conditions.
The operating temperature range for the resistors is -55 to +125C.
Level C is a "non-established reliability" product manufactured with the same design and process as the Level M product, but not subjected to the same degree of testing.
While SOTA's considerable experience and rigid quality control at its ISO9001 manufacturing facility assure reliable operation, additional high-reliability screening can be provided to meet the most stringent applications.
Pricing starts at $3.00 each in production quantities.
Delivery is from stock in 9 weeks.
