The FMOD-IPDCMOT is the first motion control card to use an Ethernet bus to communicate data and supply power at the same time at distances up to several thousand metres.

The FMOD-IPDCMOT is the first motion control card to use an Ethernet bus to communicate data and supply power at the same time at distances up to several thousand metres Thanks to its integrated http web server, the FMOD-IPDCMOT offers an innovative control solution combining a 32bit motion controller with the speed of the Ethernet communication protocol to control DC brush motors (10-48V)

Ethernet communication allows the implementation of protocols (TCP-IP, http etc) already embedded in every operating system (MS Windows, MacOS, Unix etc).

In addition, the module uses the latest IEEE802.3af standard, which allows the FMOD-IPDCMOT to be powered from an Ethernet cable at powers of up to 15W (card plus motor).

In order to use the full potential of the card (70W continuous and 140W maximum) it can also be powered from an external supply.

The embedded RISC processor is programmed with a powerful four-quadrant 32bit RISC PID regulator that refreshes power regulation up to 4kHz with a sampling rate of 20-2000Hz.

With this solution, brushed DC motors can be controlled in position or speed, as well as position with a trapezoidal speed profile.

Available modes include: brake mode, free mode, open-loop mode, position control mode, speed control mode, with 10 different homing modes.

Current limitation is automatic and configurable over TCP/IP to prevent motor overheating and wear.

Made in Switzerland by FiveCo, the FMOD-IPDCMOT is available from stock from FiveCo's distributor Saelig.
