The Australian-made Microbric Viper is a programmable robot development kit that can be pulled apart and put back together in an unlimited number of ways No soldering is involved - just a screwdriver - and the parts are fully reusable, so users can build and rebuild programmable robots as many times as they like

Microbric's patented electronic connection system allows users to assemble the pieces in any way they like without worrying about making irreversible mistakes.

It makes a great educational tool for learning programming techniques, or a family-bonding project for the holidays.

The Viper robot uses a Microchip PIC16F876 that can hold a range of instructions to drive various electronic components.

Microbric Viper is available now from stock, complete with software programming examples, at US $89.00 each from Saelig.
