A new USB2.0-connected PC-based mixed-signal oscilloscope adapter has 14bit dual-channel A/D conversion and advanced maths functions.

Cleverscope CS328A-8101401 is a new USB2.0-connected all-in-one PC-based mixed-signal oscilloscope adapter which brings benefits unavailable from traditional stand-alone oscilloscopes, and is more sophisticated than other PC scope-adapters with its 14bit dual- channel A/D Cleverscope CS328A-8101401 has two 14bit self-calibrating A/D channels, sampling at 100Msample/s simultaneously

Gain and offset automatically adjust for instantly viewable results for inputs from 20mV to 800V full scale.

The external trigger is adjustable from 0 to +/-20V in 40mV increments.

A huge 8Msample buffer allows you to drill down and display detailed analogue signal information from the very long data buffer.

Eight digital inputs are provided too, allowing digital sampling at 100Msample/s simultaneously with analogue capture - useful for thorough equipment debug and evaluation.

CS328A-8101401 is an innovative test tool which delivers a combination of affordability, precision, ease of use and documentation of test results with "Copy and Paste" simplicity.

You can display real-time analogue, maths-modified waveforms as well as digital signals simultaneously - using the optional internal signal generator as your swept-frequency source if needed - and easily transfer results into other applications such as Word, Excel, etc.

CS328A- 8101401 can also be used as a sophisticated, automated production-line test tool.

Cleverscope CS328A-8101401 offers flexible mixed-signal triggering, scope and spectrum display comparable to high-end bench equipment - you can trigger from either analogue channel or a combination of digital inputs.

Useful offset capabilities allow you to see small AC signals on a large AC or DC offset.

The software's built-in maths capability - accessed by just typing in an equation - allows CS328A-8101401 users to display multiple modified waveforms: add or subtract channels, square root, integral, differential, filtering, digital signature triggering, etc.

Users find that the easy-to-use software interface is "light- years in front of other offerings" and maths functions like these are only available on expensive standalone scopes.

An optional plug-in signal/sweep generator CS700 provides useful test signals: sine, square: 0.2Hz - 10MHz; triangle: 0.2Hz - 1MHz; with frequency, DC offset and sweep capabilities.

These are suitable for measuring filter responses or audio amplifier testing.

Cleverscope CS328-8000 PC scope adapter is available now from stock from Saelig at US $1642.

Optional internal CS700 signal/sweep generator is $249.

Also available are versions with slightly less capability (10/12bit; 4Mbyte buffer; 4/8Msample/s) from $999.
