Custom connector manufacturer Sabritec has appointed Mike Ghara as Director of Engineering.

Custom connector manufacturer Sabritec has appointed Mike Ghara as Director of Engineering In this position, Ghara will be responsible for creation and maintenance of product/technology roadmap and product development processes

He will be leading the engineering department in new product design and research, improve production techniques and developing and implementing lean initiatives.

Ghara has over 24 years of connector design engineering experience with major emphasis on fibre-optic interconnects.

Before joining Sabritec, Ghara was the Director of Engineering for Delphi Connection Systems, where he was responsible for the design and manufacturing processes developments of electrical and fibre-optic connectors, cable assemblies, flexible printed circuit boards and interposers for military, aerospace, automotive and industrial applications.

His product developments have included high-density military standard electrical connectors, low-loss, harsh environment fibre-optic connectors and high density, high-speed PC board connectors.

Ghara holds a Bachelors of Science degree in mechanical engineering with certifications in six sigma problem solving (Green Belt), market driven management, California co-operative business management, Society of Manufacturers and Merchants Management Certification.
