Daniel (Dan) O'Connell is the new Director of Operations at custom connector manufacturer Sabritec.

Daniel (Dan) O'Connell is the new Director of Operations at custom connector manufacturer Sabritec.

In his new position, O'Connell is in charge of developing and maintaining manufacturing operations business plans to include all programme requirements, labour hours, cycle, production costs and image.

He is also in charge of production and quality control standards and all materials operations while implementing lean techniques.

O'Connell has over 15 years experience in all facets of the operations environment with primary emphasis on manufacturing, materials management, industrial engineering, and lean concepts.

Before joining Sabritec, O'Connell was the Vice President of Operations at Irvine Electronics, where he specialised in SMT and through-hole PCB manufacturing and military cable and box build assemblies.

According to O'Connell: "My primary focus at Sabritec is to reduce operating expenses while eliminating waste and reducing lead-times".

Some of O'Connell's major accomplishments include increasing customer satisfaction levels by 55%, and improving on time delivery performance by 41% within 1 year while reducing expenses.

O'Connell holds a Bachelors degree in industrial engineering and certifications to CPIM APICs, is a Certified PICOS/Lean Facilitator, holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, and is a charter member of Society of Industrial Engineering.
