This adapter offers high reliability and increased performance.

At 160Mbyte/s and with CRC error checking, this high-performance Ultra 160 SCSI controller complements SBS' extensive line of PMC products.

"This Ultra 160 SCSI PMC is performance driven, delivering fast throughput and more reliable data transfers", said Bill Molyneux, Vice President of SBS' General Purpose I/O Products.

"Ideal for disk, tape, optical and other storage media applications, the PMC USCSI3 provides leading functionality, and is backwards compatible with other SCSI adapters".

SBS continues to enhance its cards with a multitude of features that offer much needed solutions for its customers.

The Ultra 160 SCSI PMC is no exception.

This adapter includes low voltage differential and single-ended operation and allows hardware configuration of terminator power and bus termination.

Other attributes are front panel I/O access via a 68-pin SCSI-III connector and onboard diagnostic LEDs.

The board may be mounted on carriers or CPUs that feature a stiffener bar.

The feature set continues with a LSI Logic LSI153C1000R Ultra 160 SCSI controller and SCSI BIOS in onboard Flash memory.

To support large memory hosts and virtual memory architectures the PMC-USCSI3 includes 64bit addressing and a scatter-gather DMA.

PMC-USCSI3 can connect up to 15 SCSI devices and includes 2kV ESD protection for increased reliability.
