The single-slot CA3 3U CompactPCI SBC is ideal for industrial automation, process control and other embedded/OEM applications "The CA3 is an excellent choice for the factory floor", said Wayne McGee, General Manager of SBS Technologies' Single Board Computer Design Centre in North Carolina

"It offers sophisticated computing capabilities for your system without consuming a lot of space, money, or development time.

SBS engineers have designed this board to have maximum flexibility and be highly reliable to meet the requirements of typical industrial life cycles".

The CA3 has an Intel Celeron ultra-low-voltage (ULV) processor in an air-cooled 3U form factor.

The ULV Celeron processor operates with a core clock of 650MHz, providing high performance with low power consumption.

For increased flexibility, the CA3 includes two RS232 serial ports, two USB ports, one parallel port, and front-panel PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports.

A floppy drive interface and an UltraDMA33 ATA interface are available for attaching an IDE hard drive or Flash disk.

The CA3 supports several real-time and commercial operating systems and offers the versatility of operating as a system controller or peripheral card through the dual-mode functionality of the PCI/PCI bridge.

The CA3 is available now and pricing is based on configuration, starting at US $1600.
