Targeted at high-performance software defined radio applications, the TS-DK-SDR1 kit is a highly integrated SDR development kit consisting of the TS Series 6U CompactPCI single board computer with two commercial grade C7 speed grade dual EP1S80 FPGA computing devices and two PMC sites for expansion, the Wave FPGA software tool kit and Altera's soft-core Nios processor SOPC Builder toolkit.
Red River's Model 309 PMC Flex receiver plus A/D dual channel front-end digitiser and Model 919 dual DAC broadband analogue signal generator mezzanine module complete the TS Series SDR development kit.
For an even more complete SDR development environment, the TS-DK-SDR2 includes all of the TK-DK-SDR1's components and adds an SBS CT8 Intel Pentium III SBC and a 6U cPCI chassis giving SDR engineers a complete signal processing development package.
Available now, the TS-Series software defined radio kit comes in two versions: the TS-DK-SDR1 with TS Series 6U cPCI dual EP1S80 FPGA development kit integrated with Red River 309 A/D and 919 D/A modules for US $40,000; or the TS-DK-SDR2 with TS Series 6U cPCI dual EP1S80 FPGA development kit, CT8 Intel Pentium III SBC and 6U cPCI chassis integrated with Red River 309 A/D and 919 D/A modules for US $50,000.
